A World History Podcast
How can you stay on top of a field as vast as world history? Dave Eaton and Matt Drwenski are here to help! In our new podcast “On Top of the World,” you can listen to reviews of popular books, discussions of our experiences in the classroom, and debates on key issues. The tone is lighthearted, but both of your hosts bring considerable experience to the show. Dave Eaton, an associate professor at Grand Valley State University, has taught world history at the college level for six years. Matt Drwenski, a former AP instructor in Houston, is now a world history graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh. Dave and Matt have also been involved in the AP World History reading for the past three years. Early episodes include how to design a world history syllabus, a review of Jared Diamond’s Guns, Germs, and Steel, and a dispute over the importance of content (or coverage) in the classroom.
